OT - Fox Interview with Obama...

I don't care if one likes Obama or not, he is President of the United
States. That means one is respectful. The Fox interview was
anything but. This is the worst example of so-called news journalism
that I have ever seen. The interviewer was rude, interrupted often
and was more intent on spewing forth nonsense than asking questions

I changed the menu plans due to popular demand (--make that a near
rebellion) calling for corned beef :-)
So we had 2 soda breads (with or w/o caraway). corned beef, colcannon (the
best I've ever made!), extra cabbage, and baby carrots. It was good. I'm
stuffed ;-)

Both Raymond Chandler and John F Kennedy hated to be called Irish-
Americans. Chandler felt it categorized him as working class and
Roman Catholic and he was neithed. His ancestors were Irish
Quakers.
Not sure why JFK disliked it. May have been that he didn't like the
idea of hyphenated Americans period.

Thats interesting. In Ireland there are these subtle little differences
between how Prods & Catholics will spell a name. Your Prod realtives
spelled it Kelley, and Catholics would be Kelly, without the 'e'. Its
the same for Quin/Quinn, Glen/Glenn, and many other names. Ahh tribalism!

In respect of Israel, Canada has been more or less in lockstep with
the United States. The Canadian policy was similar, if not identical,
