The file utility provided with SFU 3.5 does not understand ISO images, erroneously classifying them as ASCII text (even though they evidently have control characters at the very beginning). We have an installation of Windows 2008, including Server for NFS. On that system, using a Linux client, we get EOPNOTSUPP when trying to create a new symlink (through symlink(2)). When reading symlinks that pre-existed on the disk (from an SFU 3.5 installation), readlink will give EIO. On a seemingly-identical installation, all works fine.... mer »
