I make very little use of Session and static variables, sometimes i
left DB connections open, but they should get closed after a while,
and in any case they wouldn't use all that memory.

What IIS related apps are you using.
Do they store data in Session, Application cache or static variables?

Hello, i'm on a VPS with Windows 2003 x64 (IIS 6.0 so) and i have a
serious problem with w3wp.exe. It starts from 60 Mb and then grows
until the whole avaiable RAM is used.

On a production environment, how can one discover which Asp.Net http
requests, whether aspx or asmx or custom, are causing the most memory
pressure within a w3wp.exe process? I don't mean memory leaks here. It's a
good healthy application that disposes all it's objects nicely. Microsoft's
generational GC does it's work fine. Some requests however, cause the w3wp

We had the same problem. Turns out that for Authenticode signed assemblies
some certificate revocation check is made. If the server has no outbound
internet access it just waits.

The best tool I have used are:
- ANTS profiler
- Your Kit profiler
Your Kit gives you little bit more information. ANTs provides more
nice summary but it all depends on your requirements.
